A financial consulting company was getting bogged down in their manual process of creating large excel documents from dozens of submitted documents. They then spent hours compiling the data into Power BI. Their system was messy, time-consuming and tedious.

Disconnected Data Silos
The Challenge
A Venture Capital firm was managing over $1.2 billion in equity and debt assets in hundreds of investments over multiple investment arms and partners. The small team managing the assets felt disorganized, uninformed about their portfolio, and spent far too much of their time manually moving documents, looking up information, and navigating the labyrinth of files, apps, tools and services.
Our Solution
We created a centralized Airtable database that integrated all the data and information about each investment. Files were automatically filed by AI automation, integrations with Quickbooks and Xero allowed real-time insight into investments, and internal tools were designed to calculate interest on debt payments, reconcile data with accounting software, notify the team of overdue payments, and calculate valuation of investments, and generate custom reports.

A central operating system for a private school to track applications, analyze transcripts, submit grades, track student progress, manage textbook shipping and inventory, graduation planning, tuition fee processing and transcript generation. The system managed students through the entire process and automated administrative work so staff could focus on student success.
Moving Logistics Hub
Replaced a google sheet based logistics system to a central hub that allows staff worldwide to manage moves, process mover applications, automate notifications in Slack for staff and e-mail/sms for customers and contractors, pay contractors, track reviews, and facilitate and log customer communication.
Multi-Entity Grant Management System
Moved the organization from a fractured system of Airtable bases to a Notion front-end that allows teams to customize client spaces to manage the entire grant process for 100's of grants across dozens of clients. Each Notion team space is synced to a consolidated Airtable database for future backend processing and consolidated data analysis.
Consolidated Sales Dashboard
Created a visual dashboard to provide in-depth sales and cost of-sales from retail, direct B2B, and third-party sales streams. Enriched sales data with publicly available API accessible data to enhance analysis.
About Impact Technologies
Our Story
In 2016, Casey Magee was hired by a small, struggling youth writing center called the Bureau of Fearless Idea. During his first week there, he found that they had split from a national organization and the entire organization's systems had been gutted down to nothing. Volunteers filled out forms that went who-knows-where, staff were updating store inventory into three separate systems for each and every sale, and staff were entering donations into an old FileMaker Pro database on an equally old (and likely rusty) mac. Much like the origin story of many superheroes, this is the moment Casey discovered his superpower: the ability to rebuild systems with strategic intent, scalability, and great efficiency.
During the four years Casey was at the Bureau of Fearless Ideas, he thoughtfully rebuilt systems with growth, automation, integration, and agility in mind. The organization thrived. They opened a second location, launched new programs, hired new staff, increased fundraising, grew store-based revenue, and improved volunteer recruitment, retention, and engagement. It was, of course, a team effort, but the systems he built enabled that small team to do so much more with the same amount of enormous talent and focused effort. He proved that a well-designed business system unlocks talent, potential, time, and ideas. Success does not rely solely on a good system, but good systems are integral to success.
In 2022, Casey decided to use his superpower to build custom business systems as a consultant. He has since consulted businesses and non-profit organizations all over the world, building custom solutions to solve unique business challenges by blending people skills and tech skills to find the best possible solution for each client.
In 2025, Casey moved to the Netherlands and started Impact Technologies. Impact Technologies is the new era of Casey's vision of building custom business systems that make a huge and lasting impact on businesses and non-profits. Through connections in the no-code/low-code field, Casey has constructed a team of consultants and developers he can rely on to adhere to his vision of building quality and focused systems.
